Joseph R. Haydock, 71, of New Whiteland, passed away January 28, 2014. The son of Robert N. and Katherine E. Graham Haydock, Joe was born January 11, 1943 in Bloomington, Indiana.

He worked as a substitute teacher in several local school systems, including Clark - Pleasant, Greenwood, Center Grove, Beech Grove and Franklin. Joe was an active member of Risen Lord Lutheran Church, Past Master (1996) of Greenwood Masonic Lodge #514, Shrine, Scottish Rite, Past Governor of Banks of the Wabash York Rite College #72 where he earned the Order of the Purple Cross, Past Patron (1998) order of the Eastern Star #390, and Greenwood American Legion Post #252. He also was Chapter Dad of William G. Morgan Chapter of DeMolay. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife Alene Lamprecht Haydock and sister, Mary Helen Weaver. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert G. and John D. Haydock.

Funeral services will be conducted February 1, 2014 at Risen Lord Lutheran Church, 3758 West Whiteland Road., Bargersville with Masonic Service at 11:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to time of service. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
