Joseph Todd Schmalfeldt was a great bother to Greg Schmalfeldt and caring son to his dad Joe Schmalfeldt and mom Marilyn (Dennis)Schmalfeldt.  He graduated from Southport High School in the class of 1980.  Professionally he was a man of many talents as when he decided to do something he became an expert at it.  He served in the Army as a Drill Sergeant, joined the Pipe Fitters Union in Texas, was highly skilled at welding on some of our Nation's Nuclear Plants and finished his career managing major construction projects in secure facilities manufacturing the Air Force F-35 fighters.  He also was a bouncer at a famous Cowboy Bar in Texas, "Belle Star", raised and grew about every animal and crop he could on his farm, trained to be an EMT saving lives, participated in rodeo bull and horse riding and was an avid golfer where he played on the Amateur Tour winning a match and qualifying for Nationals.  After he retired he became a Bee Keeper and his last career move was to be a Fishing Charter Captain on Lake Tarpon in Florida.  He lived in Indianapolis, IN, Midlothian TX and Tarpon Springs FL where he developed close friends throughout his travels.  Joe Todd as his friends referred to him also achieved the status of Worshipful Master in his Masonic Lodge in Dallas Texas.  Pretty diverse and amazing life!  He is survived by his parents Joe and Marilyn Schmalfeldt, brother Greg Schmalfeldt, Niece and Nephew Reilly and Andrew Schmalfeldt, Uncle Louis Schmalfeldt, cousins Andy Venable, Melody Yancey and Larry and Scott Schmalfeldt and his cat Stella.  He will be missed!
