Joyce Ann Wood, age 79, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, December 19 2013 with her family at her side. Joyce was born August 7, 1934 in Miami, OH to Frederick and Sarah Ruth (Smith) Schneider. She was a Head Cashier for many years. Joyce married Albert Richard "Dick" Wood on August 24, 1951 in Winchester, IN and he preceded her in death in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bob, David and Harold Schneider.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Fred Wood of Indianapolis and Robert (Diana) Wood of Camby, IN; daughter, Elaine (Chris) Nelson of Logan, UT; brother, Paul (Artis) Schneider of Lynn, IN; eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Garden''s Ben Franklin Mausoleum. Entombment will follow the service. Forest Lawn Funeral Home will be handling arrangements.
