Juanita J. Cross, 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana, died Monday December 8, 2008 in Beech Grove. Juanita was born June 9, 1929 in Horse Cave, Kentucky to William Ernest Mears and Bertha Slinker Mears. Juanita retired from GTE in Indianpolis after working with them for 11 years. Juanita has lived in the Indianapolis area most of her life. Surviving are three sons: Simon Howard DeWitt III, Stephen Anthony Dickey, Robert Joseph Dickey. Four daughters: Vivian Hufferd, Jana Simon DeWitt-Ittenbach, Heidi Louann Allen, Tammy Roseberry, 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law: Jackie Mears. Preceded by a grandson, two brothers and her parents. Private services will be at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 South State Road Greenwood, Indiana.
