Obituary

Judy Steadham, Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the age of 72. Born September 5, 1952, in Indianapolis, Judy was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Huber) Hensley. Judy attended Southport High School and had worked as the office manager of Arc Trans until retirement.

Judy looked forward to her beach vacations so that she could walk on the sand and take in the sunshine. She enjoyed watching her family play soccer as well as viewing football, basketball, and other sports on television. An excellent cook, she also enjoyed doing crafts, such as cross-stitching, crocheting, and sewing, reading, and visiting the casino.

Judy is survived by her children, Kelly (Mark) Ewing, Shannon Ryan, John (Becca) Pence, and Will Steadham; grandchildren, Kate Ewing, Carter Ewing, Paige Ewing, Mia Ewing, Christopher (Sam) Ryan, Samantha (Scott) Burns, Cody Pence, Emily Pence, and Abby Pence; great grandchildren, Addie Ryan and Rosie Ryan; her sister, Lois Hensley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in passing by her husband, Larry Steadham; Kenneth Pence, the father of three of her children; and her siblings, Jerry Hensley and Lynn Hamilton.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Burial will follow immediately after the services.

The family asks that those making memorial contribution in Judy's memory consider the American Heart Association.
