June Sharon Osborne, 76, of Indianapolis, formerly of Beech Grove, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014.

June was born in Glenns Valley, Indiana and was a graduate of Southport High School. She worked for Dr. Widdifield''s office for 20 years, and later became a stay-at-home grandmother. June''s greatest love and source of joy were her children, their families and her many friends. She enjoyed writing poetry, growing flowers, was an avid collector of shells, Raggie Ann and Andy and pewter items. An animal - nature lover, she enjoyed ice skating, played on several bowling leagues and played semi-pro softball.

June was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald L. Osborne; her parents, Robert and Helen VanderMeulen; two brothers, Robert and Stanley VanderMeulen and foster brother, Robert Leonard. June is survived by daughters, Brenda L. (Bill) Dillon of Cleveland, TN; Rhonda K. (Mike) Butler of Meza, AZ and Yvonne A. "Bonnie" Osborne (fianc Donald Lacefield) of Morgantown; her brother, Joe Barrio of Battle Creek, WA; grandchildren, Brandon (Kami) Dillon, Bryan Dillon, Nick and Kaycee Butler and great-grandchildren, Jonah and Luke Dillon and Ashton Butler.

Funeral services 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the American Lung Association or a local Humane Society.
