Katherine Elizabeth Ridinger, 88, of Noblesville, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Harbour Manor Health & Living Community, Noblesville. The daughter of Joseph, Sr. and Liddie Burnell Powell, Katherine was born June 30, 1926 in Indianapolis.

Katherine was a member of the Noblesville First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crafting and painting in oils. Besides being a homemaker, Katherine had worked in sales and as an administrative assistant at L. S. Ayres and Co. for eight years.

Survivors include her son, Tim (Theresa) Ridinger of Midwest City, OK; daughter, Debbie J. (Wayne) Smith of Noblesville; brother, John Powell of Sarasota, FL; sister, Lydia Powell of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Katherine was preceded in death in 1993 by her husband, Charles F. Ridinger, whom she married on November 23, 1945; brothers, Joseph Jr., Delton, William and E. Lee Powell and sister, Louise Surface.

Rev. Callie J. Smith will officiate at funeral services 12:00 noon Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
