Obituary

Mrs. Kay Frances Kresge of Whiteland, Indiana and formerly of Parrysville, Pennsylvania, passed away on the early evening of Monday, July 7, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born September 2, 1937 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late James and Mary (Haydt) Smith.

Before coming to Indiana, Kay had been employed in area garment factories for many years. Kay was a long-time member of Gracepoint Church in Whiteland and was also a member of the Bible study class. She enjoyed spending her leisure time working jigsaw puzzles and she dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kay is survived by her son and his wife, Allen and Debbie Kresge; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Maryann (Ralph) Klotz and Ruth Borger as well as her brother Kenneth (Rose) Smith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, Sherwood A. Kresge.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 12, 2025 at T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Towamensing Cemetery in Palmerton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
