Obituary

Kenneth Carl Kimbro of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away May 5, 2019.  He was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky , to the late Tommy and Pauline Kimbro.  Ken grew up in Bowling Green and later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1955.  He was a dedicated employee of Amtrak until he made the decision to retire.  He received many accolades throughout his time including the "Man of the Year" Award.  His easy-going nature and infectious smile endeared him to friends and strangers alike.

Ken was a loving husband of  Carmen Beals-Kimbro.   He is survived by his son Steven (Lisa) Kimbro; daughters Dona Napier, Judith (Donald) Widmer, and Cynthia Kimbro; step sons Jeff (Rhonda) Beals and Leslie (Cindy) Beals; grandchildren Chad Napier, Jennifer Stevenson, Amanda (Anthony) Agresta, Ryan Stevenson, Layne (Josh) Coleman, Nathaniel Kimbro, Brent (Lisa) Kimbro and Jonathan Kimbro; step grandchildren Josh Beals, Colby (Chelsey) Beals, Taylor Beals, and Makenzie Beals; 11great grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild; brother Neal (Peggy) Kimbro; sister Pat Jenkins; and nephew Tommy (Melita) Kimbro. Ken was preceded in death by  Doris Kimbro, the loving mother of his 4 children; Wayne (June) Kimbro; brother  in law Roger Jenkins, and two nephews.

Visitation will held Friday May 10 th from 5:00-8:00 Pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 11 th at 1:00 PM in the Funeral Home.  Burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood, IN.
