Mr. Kenneth (Kenny) Homer Morgan, 96, passed away December 25, 2025. He was born September 24, 1929 in the small town of Augusta in southern Indiana to Gilbert and Olevia (Brown) Morgan.
The family soon moved to nearby Ireland Indiana where he grew up hunting and fishing. After graduating in 1947 Kenny enlisted in the Army Air Corps which soon became the United States Air Force. He trained as an aircraft engine mechanic and spent 4 years working on US Embassy aircraft throughout Europe and all around the Mediterranean.
After being honorably discharged, he soon met and married Jean L (Doersam) Morgan. Shortly thereafter, the family relocated to Indianapolis and a few years later they welcomed a baby girl, Deborah Kay Morgan. He continued to work for the government as an airline engine inspector until his retirement in 1984. Throughout his life he continued to enjoy camping and hunting, Kenny and Jean spent over 20 years boating and fishing in Okeechobee, Florida during the winter months. Since Jean's passing in 2009, he has enjoyed dancing, volunteering, bingo and music.
Kenny is lovingly survived by his daughter, Debbie (Robin) Boggs; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Bryan) Alig, Ryan (Courtney) Boggs and four greatgrandchildren, Madison, Caden, Gavin and Austin as well as three nephews and a niece.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 am, Monday, January 5, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood. The service will follow at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Masonic Gardens.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution in Kenny's honor, the family has suggested those be offered to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
