Kenneth E. Norris, 78, of Martinsville, passed away May 16, 2013. The son of Benton and Stella Branham Norris, Kenneth was born May 21, 1934 in Dubre, Kentucky.

For 20 years, he was an independent ceramic tile installer. He later was in property management for 22 years with Borns Management Co. A veteran of the US Army, he received the Good Conduct Medal. Kenneth bought and restored wrecked cars, collected firearms, enjoyed fishing, bird and deer watching, go-carting and picture framing. He followed NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Rebecca Vaile Norris of Martinsvile; children, Robert Benton Norris of Colorado, Debra Sue Norris of Carmel, Nancy Mae Hill of Indianapolis and Rebecca Jean (Fred) Evrard of Tell City; stepchildren, Michael (Krystie) German of Kansas City, Missouri and Monica (Afton) German of Joplin, Missouri; sister, Gladys Shaw of Pittsboro; brother-in-laws, Bill Vaile of Dallas, Texas and Bob (Cyndie) Vaile of Phoenix, Arizona and sister-in-law, Beth (Danny) Wallace of Carl Junction, Missouri; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by wives, Patricia Abney Kosch and Mary Helen Gish Norris and brother, William Norris.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. May 20, 2013 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. May 19, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
