Kevin Brian Gammons, Greenwood, passed away on Sunday October 5, 2025. He was 60 years old. Kevin was born in Franklin, IN to his parents Kenneth Lee and Betty Lula Gammons. In his youth, Kevin enjoyed participating in baseball, fishing, and bowling leagues. He graduated from Perry Meridian High School, class of 1983 and attended IUPUI, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science from Purdue University, class of 1989. Kevin married his wife, Alisa (Porter) Gammons, on June 19, 1993, and together they shared 32 years of marriage.
Kevin worked for Grain Dealers Mutual (where he met Alisa) which was later acquired by American Family Insurance for over 34 years. He climbed the ladder of the company from a junior programmer all the way up to the director of IT. Kevin completed his career as an IT project manager in 2024.  Kevin was a member of Mt. Auburn Church and previously, Christ Indianapolis United Methodist Church. Kevin was an involved church member who freely gave his time and energy. Kevin was also a member of the Indianapolis Area Emmaus Community. Kevin enjoyed engaging in a fantasy football league for over fifteen years (Go Mad Cows!). He enjoyed watching sports like football and hockey. Kevin was a wonderful cook and grill master; he had a passion for smoking meats and making meals to bring people together. Kevin loved animals all throughout his life and raised several beloved dogs. He made friends easily and maintained a wonderfully witty sense of humor all during his life. The family takes comfort in the fact that he has gone to be with Jesus. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind and will be remembered as a loving uncle by his nieces and nephews.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Alisa Gammons; his sister, Angela Gammons; his father.
Kevin is preceded in death by his mother.
A celebration of life will be held for Kevin at Mt. Auburn Church, 3100 W. Stones Crossing Road, Greenwood, IN  46143, on November 1, 2025. The visitation will start at 10:00 am and the Memorial service will start at 11:00 am.
