Lana Gale (Self) Tabor, 68, of Greenwood passed away September 6, 2011 at Community South Hospital. Lana, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother was a lifelong housewife and Jehovah Witness.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Avon R. Tabor; one daughter, Evonda (Bruce) Tabor Bowen; one son, Jeffrey (Dianne) Tabor; five grandchildren, Joseph Brittany, Evonia, Alyssa, Illyanna and Katie, all of Greenwood; two sisters Brenda Thompson of Greenwood, Tammy Eads of Bloomington; four brothers, Butch, Bob, Terry, and Mike Self all of Bloomington. One of Lana''s favorite pass times was spending time with her grandchildren.
Lana spent the first 22 years of her marriage following her beloved husband around in the Navy, the rest of her time was spent in Millington, Tennessee and Greenwood, Indiana. Lana was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 16, 1943. She was a graduate of Smithville High School, Class of 1962.
