Larry Paul Hayes Sr., Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025. He was 87 years old. Larry was born in Indianapolis, IN to his parents, Patrick Hayes and Mary Nungesser. Larry married his wife, Margaret Louise LeMasters, in 1963, and they shared 48 years of marriage together until Margaret passed away in August of 2011.

Larry worked as a warehouse manager for EH Hamilton Trucking and retired in 2003 after about 40 years of service. Larry attended Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church and considered himself catholic. Larry enjoyed leather work, western films, and completing crossword puzzles. He was an avid reader and had the ability to talk to anyone about anything. He will be remembered for his direct and honest nature and special sense of humor. Larry will be missed by those he leaves behind.

Larry is survived by his children, Terrance L. Hayes. David E. Hayes, Phillip (Jule) Hayes, Helen Pitman, Sharon McAlister, Sandy (Tim) Britton, and Marguerite Herald; his 22 grandchildren; his several great grandchildren.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Larry Hayes Jr; his granddaughter, Lauren Hayes; his 11 siblings.

A visitation for Larry will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be on October 31, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm.
