Larry L. Shoemaker, 80, of Greenwood, passed away April 19, 2014 in Community Hospital South. The son of the late Clarence and Georgia Fraley Shoemaker, Larry was born May 14, 1933 in Beattyville, Kentucky.

Retired, Larry worked for Dannemiller True Value Hardware, Greenwood. He was a hard worker and enjoyed pheasant and quail hunting in his younger years. He was a family man enjoying the company of his grandchildren. He loved his Kentucky Homestead, and always looked forward to going there.

On September 19, 1953 in Indianapolis, Larry married Ima Jean Jones, she survives. Other survivors include two sons, Donald L. (Kay) Shoemaker of Ft. Wayne and Ronald D. (Kathleen) Shoemaker of Mt. Vernon, IL; three daughters, Deborah (Owen) Lawn, Barbara Tumey and Glenda (Mark) Howe, all of Greenwood; a sister, Wilma Doyle of Lexington, KY; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
