Larry G. Winney's Obituary
Larry G. Winney, 77, of Greenwood passed away January 1, 2017. He was born October 29, 1939 in Terre Haute, IN.
Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from March 1963 - March 1965. He graduated from Terre Haute State High School in 1957 and Indiana State University in 1975 with a Bachelor''s Degree. Larry was employed at Golden Rule Insurance for 10 years, retiring in 2005, as a manager of information services, Esterline Angus as the manager for data processing for 10 years and Union Carbide as a Business Analyst for 3 years. He enjoyed golf and cars, especially Corvettes.
Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Alvin and Phyllis Winney; brother, Phillip Winney and first wife, Alice F. Winney.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beth A. Winney; daughters, Alicia Hosey and Kimberly(Gabriel) Smoot; step daughters, Amy (Joe) Gabehart; sister, Shirley (Jack) Thomas and Lisa Hinks and 11 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11 am in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood in the cemetery chapel.
