Laura Joan Sams, Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. She was 83 years old. Laura was born in Scottsville, KY to her parents Cecil and Ella Lloyd.
Laura worked as a machine operator for Nachi Technology INC and retired after over twenty years of service. Laura was a lifelong animal lover. She favored cats and leaves behind her two kitties, Precious and Stinker. Laura was a very caring and nurturing mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and giving herself to them in any way she could. She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind.
Laura is survived by her children, Rick Pardue, Ronnie (Carola) Pardue, Sherry Pardue, and Shawn (Melissa) Sams; her grandchildren, Richard, Ashley, Amber, Alisha, Elizabeth, Peyton, and Jamie; her 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Marilyn Shaw; Many nieces and nephews.
Laura is preceded in death by her parents and her five siblings: Evelyn, Nellie, Thelma, Jack and JC.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 and it will start promptly at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm.
