Leland C. Harper, born December 16, 1914, in Lafayette, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center. He was 94. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Hester L. (Hire) Harper. Leland retired from J& L Steel Company in 1976. He is survived by three children, Ann Roseman and husband Tom of Avon; Wayne Harper and wife Bonnie of Indianapolis, and Sheree Judd and husband David of Avon. he has seven grandchildren: Kerry Roseman, Kim Theiss, Kevin Harper, Delynn Davis, Ryan Harper, Jarod Stillwell, and Anthony Stillwell and 11 great-grand children. He has an extended family of five grandchildren.
He attended Lakeview Church in Indianapolis. Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday February 3 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Funeral Service will be at 11am Wednesday, February 4th at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
