Leon McGuire, 83 of Franklin passed on May 16, 2022. He was born to the late Arnold and June McGuire.

Leon loved fishing, spending time with his family and the Kentucky Wildcats (his son forgives him).

Leon leaves behind to cherish his memory four children Colleen June (Shelby) McGuire, Loretta Dee (Mike) Klein, Sabrina Gwin (Jeff) Trainer, and Leon "Don"; two step-children Diane (Bill) McGonigal and JR Powers. Five grandsons; three great grandchildren; five siblings Mifford, Greg, Kay, Michelle and Avery.

He is preceded in death by both parents; his wife of 49 years Carolyn, his 2nd wife Lula and three siblings Thomas, Angie and Timmy.

He was a mail carrier for the Franklin Post Office for 20 years and, a 21 year Air Force Veteran.  Leon was a member of 2nd Mount Pleasant Baptist Church where he was a former Treasurer.

A celebration of life will be held at 2nd Mount Pleasant Baptist church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday June 3rd. followed by a graveside service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00p.m.
