Leonard David "Dave" Pardue, age 75, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 with is family at his side. Dave was born July 31, 1939 in Indianapolis. Dave was an Assemblyman at A-1 Compressor for 30 years. He was a member of New Life Community Wesleyan Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for 10 years and Trustee for 15 years. Dave loved his family, his church and automobiles, in that order, and he will be very missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dave married the former Lois Schlegel on November 24, 1976 in Indianapolis and she survives him along with sons, David (Tracey) Pardue of Georgia, Kenneth R. and Kevin D. Pardue of Mooresville; daughters, Rita L Cockerham of Shelbyville, Bonnie J. Ingalls of Indianapolis and Tressa J. (Trent) Wright of Rushville; sisters, Teena Dudas, Cheri Ramsey, Paula York, Debra Bickers, Marissa Hinkle, Anita Warren, and Rebecca Pardue; grandchildren, Nathan, Brandice, Taylor, Kaylah, Sara, Kevin Paul, Cody David, Connor, Kayla and Ty; great grandson, Tanner. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, son, Mack and first wife, Shirley.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Pastor Mike Linville officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
