Leota "Maggie" Barrett, 86, of Indianapolis, died Sunday January 4, 2009. Leota was born in Gas City, IN on Nov. 5, 1922. She retired in 1987 from Indiana Bell working there for 20 years. Prior she had worked at Indiana University in the library. Leota graduated from Marion High School in 1940. Surviving are 2 sons: Philip and James Barrett, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. preceded by her mother Ireta Norton and a sister Edith Cashman. Friends may call Wednesday January 7, 2008 from 12 noon to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Private services will follow. Memorials to the American Heart Association.
