IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lester Wayne
'Les' Lull
September 1, 1946 – January 13, 2026
Mr. Lester Wayne Lull, Greenwood, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was 79 years old. Known to many as Les, he was born September 1, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late William H. and Ruth Mae (Wheatley) Lull.
Les attended Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis and was a proud member of the Class of 1964. He continued his education at the University of Indianapolis, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1968. A proud veteran, Les honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army serving in Viet Nam.
Professionally, Les devoted his career to State Farm Insurance. He began his service as an adjuster for two years before becoming an independent agent, a role in which he served with distinction for 33 years. An award-winning agent, he retired in 2007 after 35 years of dedicated service. During his tenure at State Farm, he earned several trips in recognition of his sales efforts.
For 48 years, Les was a faithful and active member of Southport Heights Christian Church. His service to the Lord and his church included teaching Sunday School, assisting in the nursery, and participating in Bible Bowl. He was also a member and Past Master of Bridgeport Lodge No. 162, F&AM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. Les was also a member of the American Legion Post 252 as well as the NRA.
In his spare time, Les enjoyed rehabilitating houses. He cherished fishing trips with his friends aboard a houseboat on Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee. He also enjoyed woodworking, reading, cooking and traveling with his wife. In earlier years he found great joy in coaching his daughter's softball teams in the Lassie League.
Les is survived by his loving wife, Ginger (Hollar) Lull, and his daughter, Trena and her husband, Raphael Snowden.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, William and Ruth Lull.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with a brief ceremony beginning at 6:30 p.m.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution in Les' honor, the family suggests memorial contributions be offered to Southport Heights Christian Church, Indianapolis.
