Lester G. Smith, 73 of Martinsville passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023. He was born to the late Elmer and Angieline Smith.

Lester loved being outside sitting on his porch swing, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved being with family and spending time with the grandchildren.

Lester is survived by his wife of 55 years Nancy Smith; two children April (Ben) Baker and Kim Smith; five grandchildren Josh Smith-Baker,
Ricky Martin, Chance and Alex Baker, Jarred and Cara Hassell and Emily Baker; seven great grandchildren Beckham Baker
Owen and Emery Hassell Cayden, Liam, and Lucas Baringer Skyler Fender with baby Charlie Baker on the way and three brothers Orville Smith, Robert Smith and Jerry Smith. He is preceded in death by both parents and a brother Marty Smith.

Visitation will be Friday, September 8, 2023 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
