Letha Jewell Long Jordan, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Jewell was born on December 26, 1928 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Cortis and Ellen (Pruitt) Long. On September 6, 1947 Jewell married her love Charles H. Jordan.
Jewell worked at Nabisco Brands for 15 years. She enjoyed traveling. She was a former member of Spears Chapel in KY and a current member of First United Evangelical Church in IN.
Jewell is survived by her loving husband Charles Jordan of 64 years; son Rick Jordan; brother Randal Long; sisters: Vida Spivey, Beatrice Spears, and Emogene Montgomery; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; twin brothers: Troy Payne and Hoy Paige Long; sister Maydene Gray; sister-in-law Gracie Long; and brother-in-law Donald Montgomery.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood, with the funeral service immediately following.
