Obituary

Lillie "Juanita" Collingwood, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December
23, 2022. She was born on June 29, 1932, in Orlinda, TN to Jefferson C. and Ruby
(Price) Hamilton.

Juanita graduated from Arsenal Technical School in Indianapolis
in 1950. Her husband, F. Morris Collingwood, her parents, and eight siblings
preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Linda C. Gregory, Brenda J.
(Greg) Roach, Karen E. (Christopher) Koors, Sharon A. Lane, Kenneth M. (Lisa)
Collingwood and Janet R. (Dave) Keim; eight grandchildren; eleven great
grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Juanita loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. While her
children were young, she provided childcare and took in ironings to help her
husband provide for their large family. Later, she worked outside the home at
G.C. Murphy dime store in Shelbyville, the Indiana Barber School in Indianapolis
as a secretary, and retired in 1995 from Brylane in Indianapolis where she worked
as a mail processor for 15 years. She loved reading, crocheting, solving crossword
puzzles and listening to gospel music before losing her ability to hear.

Juanita was devoted to her family and to her faith. She loved the Lord and prayed
faithfully for her children and grandchildren to come to know Jesus. Juanita
taught children's Sunday School classes and helped with Vacation Bible schools
for several years. She was a member of Franklin Wesleyan Church.

Juanita positively affected many lives and will be missed. She will continue to live
in our hearts. Thank you to all who have showed her love and friendship in some
way; and, especially in recent years to those who provided care for her as a
resident of Otterbein Senior Life Community in Franklin, IN and the wonderful
nurses and volunteers at Main Street Hospice Care.

A visitation for Juanita will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 4 to 6
p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home located at 1977 S. State Road 135 in
Greenwood, IN, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 6 p.m. She will be laid
to rest beside her husband at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Tuesday, January
3, 2023,
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to a charity or cause of importance to
