Obituary

Mrs. Linda Mae Belcher, Franklin, passed away on the evening of Monday, August 16, 2021. She was 77. Linda was born December 11, 1943 in Beech Grove, Indiana, a daughter of the late John T. and Alberta L. (White) Braden.

Linda attended Whiteland High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1962. She spent her leisure time crocheting and reading. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed raising a garden. Linda provided childcare in her home for several years looking after many children. She was a devoted homemaker and deeply loved her family. She was a member of Ratcliff Grove Christian Church of Freetown and was a former member of the Southport Church of Christ.

Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lee Roy Belcher; her children, John (Lisa) Taylor, Michael (Lorri) Taylor, David (Renee McClintic) Taylor, Sherry (Keith) Schoen, Dereck Belcher and Mark Belcher; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren as well as her sister, Karen Whitaker.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her brother, John Allen Braden.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
