Mrs. Linda D. Cope, Greenwood, passed away on the morning of Friday, July 29, 2022. She was 74. Linda was born November 20, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late James Ongley Sr. and Vonda (Zernecke) Johnson.
Linda spent much of her leisure time doing one of her favorite things….shopping. She enjoyed going to WalMart and playing computer games on her phone. She also liked spending time outdoors where she enjoyed raising flowers, decorating her yard and watching the birds and squirrels that would come by. Linda loved her dog and companion, Chico as well as drinking chocolate milkshakes and eating M&M's.
Linda is survived by her brothers, James Ongley, David Ongley and Phillip Ongley; her step-mother, Marsha Ongley as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in passing by her daughter, Stacey Cope and her sisters, Deborah Ongley and Judy Thompson.
There will be a private memorial service held at the convenience of the family.
Linda will be inurned beside her daughter at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
