Linda Lou Frances Eckert Nance, age 70, of Zephyr Hills, FL passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012 with her adoring family at her side. Linda was born May 3, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH to Everett and Vera (Goetz) Eckert.
Linda loved to cook, do crafts and crochet. She would crochet pot scrubbers that she lovingly called "Scrubbies" and she would give these to family members much to their joy. She planned holiday and family get-togethers very excitedly and always had a theme for them. She also did needlepoint as well as volunteering for the homeless to provide them with food,clothing, and necessities.
She was an administrative secretary for many years and did her job with efficiency and pride. She met her beloved companion, Floyd Tillotson, and spent the next 30 years together until his passing in July 11, 2012. Linda is survived by her daughters, Brenda Nance Maxam, Rhonda Nance, and Donna (Steve) Corbitt; sons, Ronald and David (Sue) Tillotson; sister, Kay (Fred) Baltrusch; grandchildren, Dylan and Lyndsay Donaldson, and Kendell Edgerton; great grandchildren, Connor and Brayden Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents, her "#1", Floyd, and brothers, Everett and Russell Eckert.
A Celebration of Linda''s life will be held at a future date at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Her remains will be scattered later by her daughter, Brenda, according to Linda''s wishes.
