Obituary

Linda K. Wallace was born on August 21, 1945 in Somerset, Kentucky to Katherine and Leonard Wallace.  After WWII in 1952, her mother married William Boyd Pennington, they moved to Indianapolis, and were joined by her brother, Thomas Clark Pennington, born a few years later.

Linda grew up into a beautiful lady with dark hair and sparkling eyes who was a faithful member of Southport Baptist Church.  Upon her graduation from Southport High School in 1964, Linda conscientiously managed the paint department of both a local Sears and Builder's Square.  She later found great joy in working with children at Southport Presbyterian Church daycare.  She could rock infants infinitely and supply them with endless security and love.

Without a doubt, Linda had a green thumb for gardening.  Any vegetable she tended, could grow to its maximum potential and that included sunflowers she planted.  She was a dedicated player of card games, loved dogs as family-member pets, and embroidered clothing so artistically that it looked professionally manufactured.  When it came to her favorite locations to travel, they were the Smoky Mountains and Florida, particularly Treasure Island. Linda loved her friends and family and will be missed dearly.

Linda is survived by her brother, Tom Pennington, and her cousins.
