Obituary

Lloyd T. Rutledge, 95, of Greenwood, Indiana, formerly of Hackett, Arkansas, passed away on November 29, 2019. He was born on September 11, 1924, to the late Ernest and Martha Rutledge of Hackett, Arkansas. He was married to his wife, Genelle, for 67 years. He was a loving husband and father, and an amazing granddad and great-granddad. He was preceded in death by Genelle; a granddaughter, Laura Selan; one brother, Laverne; and two sisters, Pauline and Ernesteen. He is survived by four daughters, Susan (Rex) Tapp of Smithfield, Kentucky, Lynn Selan of Greenwood, Indiana, Gail (Tom) Dory of Gilbert, Arizona, and Nancy (Bob) Craft of Crown Point, Indiana; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Jill Rutledge of Vail, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Amy Tapp Davis, Brendon Tapp, Jenny Selan McCandless, Stefan Selan, Rachel Dory Wilson, Emily Dory, and Julia Dory; and five great-grandchildren, Maeva Tapp, Emmett Tapp, Amelie Tapp, Kellan Davis, and Conner McCandless. He served in the Navy aboard the destroyer USS Stockholm in the Pacific-Asiatic arena of World War II. He worked as a commercial insurance adjuster after his graduation from the University of Arkansas with a degree in business administration until his retirement.  Private services after cremation will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
