Lloyd M. Slavens, age 85 of Indianapolis, died August 17, 2009. He was born July 7, 1924 to Charles and Maude (Gibbs) Slavens. He was married Edith (Carter) Slavens. Lloyd retired from Diamond Chain after 36 years. He was a member of the First United Evangelical Church. Survivors include a daughter, Lori (Burl) Capps, grandchildren Ryan and Kelly Capps, sister Dorothy Smith and longtime companion Dema Marion. Services will be 10:00am Thursday, August 20th at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 in Greenwood. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 at the funeral home.
