Lois Mae Mathis, Indianapolis, passed away on the early morning of October 3, 2022. She was 82 years old. Lois was born in Indianapolis to her parents Louis and Dorothy Foley. She graduated from Emmerich Manual High School. Lois met her husband Joseph "Bud" Mathis in 1963 and they shared 58 beautiful years of marriage together.
Lois is survived by her Husband; her children, Dwayne Kirkham, Penny (Rob) Gosman, and Kelly (Todd) Kuebel ; her grandchildren: Eric (Susan) Newbold, Ryan (Destiny) Newbold, Nick Abbott, Elizabeth Kuebel, and Mitch Kuebel; her great grandchildren, Symphony, Brielle, and Blake Newbold.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lowell (Sonny) Foley; sister, Wilma Marsh.
For visitation, the family will receive loved ones and friends from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. She will then be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Lois' honor to the ASPCA.
