Lois Jean Nelson Wells, 82, of Greenwood, passed away May 27, 2012. The daughter of Lewis A. and Alma S. (Heaton) Nelson, Lois was born December 15, 1929 in Owen County, Indiana.
After graduation from Indiana University, Bloomington, she worked as a music teacher in Lawrence County. Lois later became a leasing coordinator with Indiana National Bank, from where she retired.
Survivors include her husband, John K. Wells of Greenwood; children, Susan J. (Don) Harris of Franklin, Nelson (Kim) Wells of Whiteland, Leanne Johnson of Bloomington, Alan (Kathi) Wells of Walkersville, MD and Brian (Becky) Wells of Bargersville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Needy.
