Lolah Laura (Boston) Conder (known to close family and friends as Lolly), 80, of Greenwood, IN, ran into the arms of Jesus on May 5, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.
She loved God and her family with all she had. She married the love of her life, Melvin Ray Conder, on December 16, 1962.
Laura was born June 18, 1941 in East Chicago, IN to Winston and Margaret (Benefiel) Boston. At a young age her family moved to Canton, IL and during Laura's senior year of high school they moved to Jasonville, IN. When Laura was 16 she lost her mother to cancer. 2 years later, Laura and her siblings played matchmaker with the children of Rosemary Gillespie to bring their parents, Winston and Rosemary, together. The plan was a success and they married on June 13, 1959.
After 3 years of letter writing and dating (Melvin was serving in the United States Air Force) they married and setup residence in Indianapolis, IN. In 1965 they built a home in Greenwood, IN in which they raised their 3 children.
Their home was open to friends and family, always a seat at the table, and Laura was a welcoming hostess and a great cook.
Early in their marriage the Conders began faithfully attending and serving at Suburban Baptist Church and Christian School. If the doors were open the family was there. They served as Sunday School teachers, AWANA leaders, nursery workers, church bus ministry, and any other job needing filled. Laura was also known as the "BEST LUNCH LADY" around.
Survivors include her loving husband, Melvin Conder, of Greenwood, IN; her children Kevin Conder (Joyce) of Whiteland, IN, her daughter Lorri Turcios (Joel) of Greenville, SC, and Matthew Conder (Adriana) of Juarez, Mexico; grandchildren Malone Conder, Donovan Turcios (Sarah), Parker Turcios, Zachary Conder, Russell Conder, and Carissa Conder; brother Charles Boston of Jasonville, IN and sister Sue Ann Hernandez of Tipp City, OH.
