Lon Alan Burt, Indianapolis, passed away on the early morning of Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was 75 years old. Lon was born in Elkhart, IN to his parents, Jerold F. Burt and Mary A. Overhulser. He graduated from Howe Military Academy and continued his studies at Indiana University.
Lon worked several jobs to support his family. He was the VP of A-Pak Packaging Company before moving onto running his own packaging company, ALCO. He proudly ran ALCO for many years and was able to make success in his business. Later, Lon ran his own company brokering contracts for alarm companies and then Lon worked in Sales for the company, Eagle Magnetic. Lon was a non-denominational Christian all throughout his life. In his younger years, he had a passion for sailing in the Gulf off of Fort Myers, FL. Lon loved spending time with his family and was so proud of the men both of his sons became. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
Lon is survived by his son, Ryan (Michelle) Burt; his grandchildren, Cameron Alford and Kendall Burt; his multiple half-brothers and half-sisters.
Lon is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Scott A. Burt.
