Loni Lucie Buechter, Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026. She was 95 years old. Loni was born in Botzenburg, Germany to her parents Johann and Lucie Lukas. Loni married her husband, Alfred Buechter, and they shared 58 years of marriage together until Alfred passed away on October 21, 2013.
Loni was catholic and was a member of a catholic church while she lived in Ocala, FL with her husband. She loved reading and completing yardwork around her home. Loni also loved to spend time with friends and family. She was a well-rounded person, a wonderful cook, and had a welcoming personality. Loni will be dearly missed and forever cherished by those she leaves behind.
Loni is survived by her daughter, Leona (Axel) Deigel; her grandchild, Stephanie Meek; her sister, Helga Stitt; her niece, Linda Stitt.
Loni is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred.
There will be no services at this time.
