Mrs. Lora Florence Wyatt, Mooresville and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on the evening of Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Meadow Lake of Mooresville. She was 87. Lora was born June 4, 1933 in Green County, Kentucky, one of 10 children born to Lucian and Alice (Gardner) Simpson.

Lora devoted her life caring for her family and rearing her children. She deeply loved them and cherished the times they spent camping and fishing. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing delicious meals using vegetables and items she had canned herself. Lora also enjoyed spending time raising her flowers. She was of the Baptist faith.

Lora is survived by her three sons, Roger (Cathy) Wyatt, Richard (Kristi) Wyatt and Gregory (Nora) Wyatt; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Dean (Wilda) Simpson, Wayne (Janie) Simpson and Junior (Lydia) Simpson as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, Taylor Milt Wyatt; two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 29, 2021 in the Meyer Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood with Pastor Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
