Loree Ann (Bennett) Myers, 58, of Greenwood, Indiana, gained her angel wings on August 16, 2026, one month before her 59th birthday.
Loree was, above all else, a gentle soul. Genuine and endlessly caring, she was a caregiver by nature who made everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and part of her family. Her kindness was effortless and extended to everyone she met.
Loree was a devoted wife and fiercely proud mother. She recently celebrated 25 years of marriage with her husband, Pat, whom she married in St. Lucia, and together they built a life filled with family, travel and memories. Being a mother to her son, Conlon, was one of the greatest joys of her life and a role she cherished deeply.
She was also a loving daughter and sister, an extraordinary aunt, a valued coworker, and a loyal friend. To her mother, Loree was and will always be “her sunshine.”
Loree loved traveling, especially trips to Florida, and some of her happiest times were spent boating on Lake Monroe with family and friends. She loved being on the water, enjoying the sunshine, and making memories with the people she loved. She had a natural talent for decorating and making a house feel like home. Her eyes for decorating, love plants and flowers, and famously clean homes were simply part of who she was.
Loree adored her dogs, Bailey, Roxy, Dude and Sissy, who were an important part of her family and brought her tremendous happiness and companionship.
Loree began high school at West Point High School in Nebraska, where she was a cheerleader and a member of the color guard. She moved to Columbus, Indiana, during her junior year and later graduated from Columbus East High School. Loree went on to attend Ball State University, where she studied marketing.
She was part of the early days of Angie’s List, joining the company as one of its first employees and contributed to its growth from a startup. Later in life, Loree worked hard to make a career change and was incredibly proud to earn her Indiana real estate license. She went on to work as a Realtor with Highgarden Real Estate. Her career reflected many of the qualities that defined her personally: her ability to connect with people, make them feel comfortable, and genuinely care about helping others.
Loree’s generosity extended beyond her family and career. She gave her time to help others, including volunteering to provide meals for those in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her Christian faith was also an important part of her life. She was baptized and involved in her church community in Greenwood.
Loree is survived by her husband, Patrick Myers; her beloved son, Conlon Daniel Myers; her mother, Judie Bennett Schrougham; her brother, Steve Bennett; sister-in-law, Peri Myers; and brother-in-law, Reid (Beth) Myers.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Bennett, Aaron (Natalie) Bennett, Nicholas (Renee) Bivins, Mallory Kate Myers and Grant Myers, as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews, Peyton and Seth Faucett, Tyson Nimmers-Bennett, Olivia, Shae and Wrenley Bivins. She leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who loved her deeply. Loree was preceded in death by her father, Joe Bennett.
There are people whose impact is measured not by grand gestures, but by the countless quiet ways they cared for others. Loree was one of those people. She noticed when someone needed help. She gave generously. She cared deeply. She made life beautiful.
Loree will be remembered as a woman who made the world a little kinder simply by being in it.
Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Loree’s life on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens & Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service led by Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Susannah M. Tulloch beginning at 3:00 p.m.
