Loren Paul Jacobs, Jr., 66, of Indianapolis, passed away June 26, 2015. The son of Loren P. Sr. and Nina P. Smith Jacobs, Loren was born October 31, 1948 in Batesville, Indiana.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam, he was a member of American Legion Post 355. Loren was an over the road truck driver, having worked for Hiner Transport of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and for Baylor Trucking of Sunman, Indiana.

Loren is survived by his son, Loren "Skip" Scroggins of Madison, Indiana; daughters, Christine Marine of Indianapolis, Daffney Rowlett of Madison, Indiana and Nina Jacobs of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; brothers, Oliver Lockwood of East Enterprise, Indiana, Terry and Robert Jacobs of Indianapolis and Steven Jacobs of Avon, Indiana; sisters, Betty Jean Reynolds of Carmel, Indiana, Paula Kerschner of Indianapolis and Nancy Hughes of Camby, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Danny Thomas will conduct funeral services 3:00 p.m. June 28, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 S State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Military honors will be presented at the conclusion of the funeral services. Inurnment of Loren's remains will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
