Lorene Jones, age 83, of Indianapolis, passed away January 26, 2011. She was born July 16, 1927 in Winding Gulf, WV to Oscar and Clara (Brown) Flinchum, who later preceded her in death. Lorene was a homemaker who was also a nature lover, enjoyed music, cheered for Kentucky Basketball and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Ladies Aux.VFW.She married Coolie Jones and he preceded her in death in 1992. Her son, Michael Jones, also preceded her in death. Lorene is survived by one son, James O. (Robyn) Jones; daughters, Karen (Chuck) Dorris, Barbara (Brad) Sims, Tracey (Rich) Adams and daughter-in-law Joyce Jones; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, January 31 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
