Lorenza B. Santellana (Lorraine, Cuata), 86 of Indianapolis, was received into glory Friday, February 22, 2019 at 12:10 am. She was born on September 5, 1932 in Mercedes, Texas to Apolonio and Guadalupe (Villarreal) Barrientes.

She attended Garfield Park Church of God for many years. During her years at Garfield she served on the Spiritual Advisory Board and started the Clothing Give-Away outreach ministry and food pantry. She had a heart for serving others.

Lorenza was a women of faith, she loved God and loved family.  After marriage she moved from Mercedes to Indianapolis to raise her family.  Lorenza would return to Texas every year to visit with her many siblings because family was very important.  She was also a devoted prayer warrior and confidant to many. Her laughter was contagious. Lorenza enjoyed going to the beach, traveling, reading and ministering to those in need. Visitors were always welcome with her, "mi casa, es su casa" attitude.

Lorenza is now free of pain, her vision restored and rejoicing with her Heavenly Father.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ines Santellana; sisters, Virginia Gonzalez, Teodora (Lola) Robles, Rafela Vela, and Christina Moreno; brothers Reynaldo, Miguel and Pedro Barrientes.

She is survived by her children, Rene, Noe, and Manuel Santellana,  Rose (Larry) Hartman, Belinda (Joe) Mascari, and Maria (Kevin) Via; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren: siblings, Maria B. Alvarez, Daniel, Vincente and Ramiro Barrientes, and Several nieces and nephews.

John 17:4 – I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Funeral Home 1977 S. Statye Rd 135 Greenwood, IN 46143. Funeral Service Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 10:30 am (with visitation from 9:30 AM till time of service, at Grace Evangelical Church, 5905 E. Southport Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237.  Burial will be held in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
