Loretta M. Rothrock, age 81, of Alexandria, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Alexandria Care Center with her family at her side. She was born May 4, 1934 in Indianapolis to Alphaus and Helen Coons. She graduated from Southport High School with the Class of 1952. Loretta married Herman C. Rothrock on April 22, 1980 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2007. She was a Loan Officer at Shelby Federal Savings and Loan until her retirement. She was an avid reader who loved to crochet and spend time traveling with Herman and the Campers Club.

Loretta is survived by her sons, Jim (Vicki) Green of Indianapolis, Jerry Green of Indianapolis and Joe (Cheryl) Green of Lapel; step-sons, Joe and Paul (Rose) Rothrock both of CO; brother, David Coons of FL; sister, Norma Jean Dunn of KY; aunt, Ruth Esther Trowbridge of Comiskey; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Richard, Kenneth, and Jack Coons.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Assoc.
