Loretta Mae Amos Ferguson "Little Grandma" was born in Sellersburg, Indiana on October 1, 1927 and died September 15, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Earl Amos, her husband Shirley Ferguson, her sister Marcella Smith, and her brothers, Clarence Amos and Clyde Thompson and a Grandson Christopher Key.
Loretta is survived by Earlene Ayres (Jim), Allen Ferguson (Vicki), Scott Ferguson (Jeanne) and Theresa Jones (Russ); 15 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and three Great Great Grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Roch Parish. Prior to her retirement she was a cashier at Al''s Grocery. Loretta was a strong believer in family. Each child and grandchild knew how special they were because her love for them always shone from her blue twinkling eyes.
Each person she met was enriched from knowing her. Shopping and always redecorating Her home were her favorite pastimes.
While enjoying her winters in Florida she learned to paint glassware and family and friends loved receiving pieces of her art.
Funeral services will be Tuesday September 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood, with visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service.
