Mrs. Lou Edna Meadows, Indianapolis, passed away on the evening of Thursday, December 3, 2020 at her home. She was 81. Lou was born June 3, 1939 in Clay County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Amos and Laura Bishop.
Lou worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and retired from Plainfield Health Care. Lou had attended Parkview Christian Church in Indianapolis and was a life-time member of the VFW Post 1587, American Legion as well as the Plainfield Eagles Lodge.
Lou deeply loved her family and looked forward to family gatherings. She also especially enjoyed the Christmas and Halloween holidays are decorating her home for them. She was an avid gardener and got much pleasure from caring for her plants and flowers, traveling, reading and doing word search puzzles.
Lou is survived by her children, Theresa (James, Jr) Hercamp, Elizabeth (Tom) Neese, Elana (Jonathan) Flanigan and Anthony 'Tony' (Joy) Branham; her grandchildren, Kristina Petty, Krystal Shepard, Michael Willhoite, Jr., Audrey Flanigan, Finley Flanigan, Emily Olivera, Chantell Capps and Michael Capps; several great-grandchildren and her brother, Willard Bishop.
She is preceded in passing by her parents; her three husband, Albert Branham, Bill Milam and Rex Meadows; her son, James Branham and her sister, Sue Livingston.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, with Chaplain Justin Lamason officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
