Louis Todd Sitter, 49, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 in Brown County.
He was born April 25, 1965 to Glen Sitter and Pamela Komendo. A 1983 graduate of Warren Central High School, Lou was employed as an air traffic controller at the Indianapolis Center for 26 years. Lou was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On February 20, 1988, he married Marcy (Willits) in Indianapolis. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Indianapolis. As a result of a recent 5,000 mile motorcycle trip out west with a friend, Rod, Lou made it his mission to spread the gospel message of Jesus Christ with others, so they too can have the same freedom from the bondage of sin. His favorite Bible verses were Matthew 6: 19-21.
He is survived by his wife, Marcy; a son, Andrew (Jorden) Sitter; a daughter, Allison Sitter; and a grandson, Bowen Sitter (son of Andrew); parents, Glenn (Diane) Sitter and Pamela (Jay) Komendo; maternal grandmother, Loraine Atherton; a brother, Mike Sitter; a half brother, Phil Sitter; a half sister, Andrea Sitter-Bratich and other extended family members.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Grace Baptist Church - 740 West County Line Road, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church General Fund in lieu of flowers.
