Louise Barnhart, age 87, passed away January 12, in Greenwood. She was born November 6, 1922 in Indianapolis to Robert and Jeannette Lewis Lockwood. She was Paymaster for Decatur Twsp. Schools for 24 years, and she loved to paint as a hobby. She was also member of Delta Zeta Sorority, and Beech Grove Senior Citizens. She married Robert Murray Barnhart, December 2, 1945 and he preceded her in death in November 1996. She later married Harold Lewis and he survives her, along with two sons, John (Cathy), of Indonesia and Joseph (Chris) Barnhart, of Beech Grove, IN; stepson, Clifford (Linda) Lewis, of Indianapolis, IN; three daughters, Patricia Craycraft, of Porter, IN, Nancy (Phillip) Guyer, of Owings, MD, and Linda (Mike) Snyder, of Paoli, IN; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday January 16 at 1:00PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is Friday, January 15 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
