Louise Stella Jones-Mills, Greenwood, IN, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was 98 years old. Louise was born in Monticello, KY to her parents Arnold and Stella Marsh. Louise married her husband, Harry Jones, on August 24, 1947, and they shared 44 years of marriage together until Harry passed away on November 9, 1991. Later, Louise married Paul Mills on January 14, 1995, and they shared 9 years of marriage together until Paul passed away on June 2, 2004.
Louise worked as a bookkeeper for US Rubber, and later Y&W Theaters, for over thirty years. Louise was a member of Southport Heights Christian Church for several years. Louise was also a member of the Southport Eastern Star for fifty years. Louise was the treasurer for the organization of Mended Hearts for many years. Louise enjoyed playing cards and going out to eat with family and friends. In her younger days, she enjoyed travelling to places like Las Vegas and playing golf with her husband. She will be remembered for her sweet demeanor and caring heart. Louise will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Louise is survived by her sister, Sue Ferry; her nieces and nephews, Richard Beaman, Herb (Pam) Smith, Beverly Beaman, and Dennis Ferry; Step-son John (Brenda)Mills and step-daughter Karen Cole; 3 Step-Grandchildren; 6 Step Great Grandchildren; 1 Step great great granddaughter.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Harry and Paul; her siblings, Kathy Beaman, Bill Marsh.
A visitation for Louise will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Entombment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 1:00 pm.
