Lowell (Bud) Eugene Johnson, 91 passed away November 25, 2007 at Community Hospital South. Lowell was born August 21, 1916 in Petersburg, Indiana to Harley and Florence Galena (Kemlo) Johnson. In 1932 the family moved to Indianapolis, there Lowell attended Tech High School. He then went to work at jobs where his mathematical skills helped to create a very successful 45 year career employed by the Indianapolis Star and News Newspaper Company, working as an independent dealer in the circulation department overseeing the North West quadrant of downtown Indianapolis supplying employees to distribute the daily papers to homes and vending machines in the IUPUI and I.U. hospital complex. Lowell enjoyed golf, and traveled to many tournaments as a very talented amateur golfer, he was also a talented billiard pool player and casino dice player. Lowell was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Theodora Charlotte (Pfeiffer) Johnson, who has been with him in spirit since her death January 8, 2004. Lowell was preceded in death by brothers, Harley Johnson and Robert Johnson, and sisters; Pauline Warren, Mary Writt and Jerri Uphold. He is survived by sisters; Eva Schooley and Betty Murdock and brother; Lloyd Johnson. Lowell is survived by sons; Thomas L. Johnson and David W. Johnson M.D. and grandchildren; Thomas L. Johnson II, Bryan W. Johnson, David D. Johnson C.N.M.T., Natalie S. Holland and Jackie K. Adams, twelve great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 28, 2007 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood.
