Lowell T. Williams, 88, died peacefully at his south-side home of 58 years on the morning of December 21, 2013. He was the son of Christopher C. and Mary Ethel Porter Williams.

Lowell grew up in Martin County Indiana, then the family moved to Smithville, Indiana and he graduated from Smithville High School in 1943. He attended Indiana University in Bloomington. He worked for Citizens Gas Company in Indianapolis for 37 years before retiring in 1987.

During his long retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with friends and family.

Lowell is preceded in death by his sister Ida Aljean Meyers. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Billie; his children Helen Wildermuth, Albert Williams and Tom Williams; his sisters, Katheryn Coonce and Madge McClain and his brother Wendell; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 26, 2013, 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South S.R. 135, Greenwood, Indiana. Visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial in Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus, Indiana.
