M. JoAnn Scott, 78, of Indianapolis, died Wednesday October 27, 2010. JoAnn was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois on June 9, 1932 to the late Loran and Lela Thomson Kennedy. JoAnn worked for a number of years at Marsh as a cashier. She married William Scott Sr. and he precedes her in death. Surviving are two sons and a daughter in-law: William Jr. and Sue Ellen Scott, and Keith Scott. One daughter and son-in-law: Marcia and Jeff Mitchell. Eight grandchildren: Kim, Maranda, Eric, Herb, Kathy, Keith, Megan and Amanda. Thirteen great-grandchildren: Angela, Steven, Owen, Samantha, Sydney, Charlie, Ethan, Eli, Dalton, Katie, Andrea, Joseph and Elizabeth. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son: Lonnie Scott and two sisters. Family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Friday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143. Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
